Where to stay in Eindhoven: choose a district, not just the centre
Eindhoven builds its stay value around design, industrial heritage and dispersed districts. A night beats a day trip when Strijp-S, the centre and a second creative area each get their own block.
Centraal serves the centre. Strijp-S has its own station, which the Strijp-S site calls Eindhoven's second largest, right next to the district and a few minutes' walk from Strijp-S and Strijp-T; an HOV bus lane with three stops also runs through the area. Other districts need bus or bike; choose the stay area around the district you want to keep in the evening.
Recheck the live journey planner, engineering work and the final connection shortly before travel; timetables and access are not fixed editorial facts.

Plan the morning and evening
First block
Sleep where your evening is: Strijp-S for industrial heritage, design and its own evening scene, or De Bergen for smaller-scale food beside the centre.
Second block
Use the centre around Centraal for rail days and quick links; the creative districts stay separate routes by bus, bike or Strijp-S's own rail stop. Choose Woensel only after checking the exact corridor to your main programme.

Use it as a base — but not by default
's-Hertogenbosch, Tilburg and Brabant nature are separate choices. Eindhoven is an efficient rail base, but its urban character should fit the trip.
